Why have wire and Tube just been postponed to this date from 20 to 24 June 2022?
Under the current circumstances, the new summer date of 20 – 24 June 2022 allows the greatest possible planning security for all participants.
Exhibitors can now focus on the new date and align their trade fair preparations accordingly.
The METAV guest event taking place at the same time will also result in valuable synergies for exhibitors and visitors from the three sectors. In 2008, wire and Tube were already held parallel to METAV in Düsseldorf. METAV will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 21 – 24 June 2022.
Based on numerous expert statements, we assume that the situation will most probably calm down by early summer 2022 as a result of the current measures in almost all countries. With CARAVAN SALON, A+A and Medica 2021, we have already shown that successful trade fairs with the greatest possible protection for all participants are also possible in corona times. The world's leading trade fairs for wire, cable, tubes and pipes, wire and Tube, are well booked and we expect further confirmations for the new date.
Doesn't Messe Düsseldorf's postponement send the wrong signal to the indus-tries or the other trade fairs in Germany/Düsseldorf?
No! wire and Tube already had to be postponed and finally cancelled in 2020. We are trying everything to ensure that there will not be another cancellation for reasons of the pandemic. That's why we want to offer our exhibitors, visitors and partners the greatest possible planning security with the new date.
Who guarantees that wire und Tube can take place on its new date?
Messe Düsseldorf is closely monitoring the current developments and is in direct contact with the authorities on this. It will evaluate the situation in consultation with the authorities and partners and make responsible decisions.
How will the postponements affect the subsequent dates of wire and Tube?
wire and Tube will take place in Düsseldorf in spring 2024 as scheduled every two years.
Effects on other Düsseldorf trade fairs
What impact will the postponement have on other events at the Düsseldorf ven-ue?
Messe Düsseldorf looks at each event individually and also takes into account the infection situation, the travel situation and the legal situation as well as the specific requirements of the respective trade fairs and their sectors. In doing so, it is in close contact with the authorities and the partners of the respective trade fairs, with whom it will reassess the situation in good time and make responsible decisions.

Why don't wire and Tube take place virtually?
The exhibitors have cast a clear vote for their leading world trade fairs as presence events. The industries are urgently waiting for their live events in order to have products and innovations demonstrated to them in direct comparison by international specialists and to discuss them in personal talks. The "live dialogue" is preferred by all participants - especially after two years of physical distance and predominantly digital communication.
Exhibitors and visitors can continue to find out about the latest news from the sectors as well as trends and product innovations on our online platforms www.wire.de and www.Tube.de.
The matchmaking system will also be available in the near future. All approved exhibitors will continue to be listed in the database and the "Exhibitor and Product Search". They can actively enter information about their company, products and solutions via our online portal.

What do you do with the registrations that have already been confirmed?
The registrations are still valid and we will take over the existing registrations for the new term from 20 – 24 June 2022. The exhibitor does not have to take any action. Potential exhibitors who have not yet registered due to the current situation can still do so.
Do OOS services booked with Messe Düsseldorf have to be cancelled and re-booked?
No, all contracts concluded directly with Messe Düsseldorf regarding wire and Tube will remain valid for the new date. This does not automatically apply to contracts with third parties, even if these have been concluded via the Online Order System - OOS provided by the trade fair company. In this case, please contact the relevant service partners directly.
What can exhibitors do who have already withdrawn or declared that they will not participate and now want to register again for the new dates?
What happens if a company does not want to participate at the new June dead-line?
In that case, the conditions of participation apply. Messe Düsseldorf will try to rent the space that then becomes available to other companies in order to minimise the costs for the exhibitor. At best, the exhibitor will then only have to pay 25% of the participation fee. If it is not possible to rent the space to another party, the exhibitor will be charged the agreed participation fee.
Do you compensate your customers for costs incurred so far due to booked flight and train tickets, hotel accommodation, etc.?
We understand the difficult situation resulting from the postponement. Please contact the respective provider to clarify open questions and find solutions. We are not able to provide any information on contracts of customers with third-party providers, as these were not entered into with Messe Düsseldorf.

Will exhibitors get the same stand space for the new June date as planned for May?
We will be able to maintain the hall layout. The Tube will be held as usual in Halls 1 to 7a, the wire in Halls 9 to 15. The METAV, which is taking place from 21 – 24 June, will occupy Halls 16 and 17.
Do exhibitors receive any assistance in communicating with their customers?
With our exhibitor mailing about the postponement, all exhibitors will also receive the link to the official press release on the subject. The aspects formulated there can be used in the exhibitors' customer communication.
When will the ticket shop be changed or opened?
Tickets already purchased will remain valid and will be transferred one-to-one to the postponed event. The ticket shop will remain open except for a short reconstruction phase.
